Job Description
Are you an energetic high school student looking for a great way to start your day and earn some money? Safeway in Eugene, OR, is hiring for Early Bird Associates for morning shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to gain valuable work experience in a supportive retail environment. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our store is ready for our customers each morning, contributing to a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise before store opening.
- Ensure aisles are clean, clear, and safe for customers and staff.
- Help with basic store setup tasks, preparing the store for daily operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to early morning shoppers, if applicable.
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends if needed.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment (not required, but a plus).
- Basic understanding of inventory and stocking procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
