Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Junior Chemist to join our dynamic team in Katy, Texas. This is an entry-level position designed for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience looking to kickstart their career in industrial chemistry. You will receive comprehensive paid laboratory training, gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and chemical processes. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation (e.g., GC, HPLC, Titration, Spectroscopy).
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples accurately and precisely according to established procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, documenting experimental procedures, observations, and results.
- Operate and troubleshoot basic laboratory equipment under supervision, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist senior chemists in research projects, data collection, and experimental setup.
- Follow all safety guidelines, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Fundamental understanding of general chemistry principles and laboratory practices.
- Proficiency with basic laboratory equipment (e.g., pH meters, balances, pipettes).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing experiments and recording data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently after training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a university or industrial laboratory setting (e.g., academic projects, internships).
- Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) or Research & Development (R&D) laboratory environments.
