Job Description

KinderCare Education in New Port Richey is seeking a dedicated Creche Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are available during school hours, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a child’s foundational learning journey while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young children, helping them explore, discover, and develop essential skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all children.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naps, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including handwashing, toileting, and feeding, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with lead teachers and other staff regarding children's progress and needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Adhere to all licensing requirements and company policies regarding health, safety, and child care standards.

  • Proven ability to interact positively and patiently with young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of child development and safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a childcare setting, daycare, or school.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Early childhood education coursework or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
