Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others achieve their health goals but lack formal experience? Optum is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Virtual Health Coach Aide. This entry-level, 100% remote position offers comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to support our health coaching programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all provided training modules to develop a strong understanding of health coaching principles and our proprietary tools.
  • Support senior health coaches by managing schedules, preparing client materials, and handling administrative tasks.
  • Engage with members via phone, email, and virtual platforms to provide motivational support and resource navigation.
  • Document member interactions and progress accurately and promptly in our secure systems.
  • Assist members in setting and tracking personalized health goals related to nutrition, exercise, stress management, and chronic condition management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions.

Required Skills

  • Strong empathy, active listening, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with virtual communication tools (video conferencing, email).
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
