Job Description
Are you a budding biomedical engineer eager to make a real impact on patient care? Medtronic Canada is seeking a highly motivated Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in Miramichi. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a ‘startup-like’ project focused on the rapid development and testing of innovative medical devices. You will work alongside experienced engineers and scientists, gaining hands-on experience in the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design to prototyping and testing. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of medical device prototypes using CAD software.
- Conduct laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis on new device components and systems.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, and reports.
- Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions.
- Research relevant medical technologies, materials, and regulatory standards.
- Support quality control and assurance activities for medical device components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and clinical affairs.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
