Job Description
Join Cintas Corporation as a Uniform Sorter in our Overland Park facility! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in industrial support with a stable and growing company. As a Uniform Sorter, you will be a crucial part of our operations, responsible for accurately receiving, sorting, and preparing uniforms for processing and delivery. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training. We’re looking for dependable team players with a keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming soiled uniform garments from delivery vehicles.
- Accurately sort uniforms by customer, size, and garment type according to established procedures.
- Identify and separate damaged or stained garments for repair or special cleaning.
- Load sorted uniforms onto appropriate racks or into designated bins for processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
- Operate machinery such as conveyor belts or garment sorters after proper training.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during an 8-10 hour shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic literacy skills (ability to read numbers and simple instructions).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced industrial environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or industrial setting (though not required).
