Job Description
Join Walmart’s dedicated logistics team as a Retail Distribution Driver, focusing on local night shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely distribution of merchandise from our distribution center to retail stores within the Pueblo area. This position offers premium pay for night operations, ensuring our stores are stocked and ready for customers each morning. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle on local routes during night shifts.
- Transport goods and merchandise from distribution centers to designated Walmart retail locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and store personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or higher) Driver's License.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely.
- Strong understanding of local traffic laws and routes.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull merchandise (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of commercial driving or delivery experience.
- Experience with night shift operations.
- Familiarity with retail distribution logistics.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
