The Knot Worldwide is seeking skilled Wedding Musicians to join our network of premier wedding professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Perform live musical selections during wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and other related events as required.
- Collaborate with couples, wedding planners, or event coordinators to understand musical preferences and create customized playlists.
- Arrive punctually and prepared for all performances, including setup and sound checks.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the highest standards of musical artistry and client service.
- Manage and transport necessary musical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adapt to various venue acoustics and event atmospheres to deliver optimal sound quality.
- Handle special requests and improvisations gracefully while maintaining performance integrity.
Required Skills
- Exceptional musical proficiency on your chosen instrument(s) or vocal ability.
- Extensive repertoire covering various genres, including classical, contemporary, jazz, pop, and traditional wedding music.
- Proven experience performing at weddings or other formal events.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to read sheet music and/or perform by ear proficiently.
- Professional-grade equipment and sound system (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Performance or a related field.
- Portfolio or demo reels showcasing live wedding performances.
- Fluency in multiple musical styles and genres.
- Experience with event planning software or client management tools.
