Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on both cosmetic and medical dermatology to join our esteemed practice in Downtown Decatur, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about skin health, possess excellent clinical skills, and be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a team of experts, utilizing advanced techniques and technologies to achieve optimal outcomes for our diverse patient base.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological examinations and assessments for new and existing patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
- Perform various cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educating patients on their conditions and care.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies in accordance with established protocols and state regulations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies and lab work.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care and counseling to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in dermatology.
Required Skills
- Current Georgia APRN license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a dermatology setting (cosmetic and medical).
- Proficiency in performing cosmetic procedures (e.g., injectables, laser treatments).
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills for common dermatological conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Dermatology by the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Board (DNP-CB) or equivalent.
- Experience with advanced aesthetic technologies (e.g., RF microneedling, advanced laser platforms).
- Active membership in professional dermatology organizations.
