Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Student Data Integrity Clerk to join our administrative team in Rockville. This part-time role is ideal for a student looking to gain valuable administrative experience within a large healthcare system. The primary focus of this position is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of critical data across various systems. You will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and updating information, contributing significantly to the reliability of our operational data. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular audits of data entries to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of student and operational records.
  • Input and update data into various database systems with precision.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve data inconsistencies and improve data collection processes.
  • Generate reports on data quality and integrity metrics.
  • Adhere to strict data privacy and security protocols (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Assist with special data-related projects as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent, currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data entry or administrative support, even in a volunteer capacity.
  • Familiarity with database systems or electronic health records (EHR).
  • Coursework in information technology, data science, or healthcare administration.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare or data management.
