Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist with a strong customer interaction focus to join our team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This pivotal role is the first point of contact for our visitors and callers, requiring a welcoming demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to service. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and efficient experience for everyone who interacts with AdventHealth.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all visitors, patients, and staff, directing them to the appropriate individuals or departments.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls, taking messages, and providing accurate information with a friendly and professional tone.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely distribution and collection.
- Maintain a tidy, organized, and professional reception area, reflecting AdventHealth's commitment to excellence.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments or meetings as needed, managing calendars and sending reminders.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and preparing documents.
- Provide basic information to inquiries, resolve minor issues, and escalate complex concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and a strong commitment to patient and visitor satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment.
- Familiarity with medical scheduling software.
- Bilingual abilities (especially Spanish).
