Job Description

As a Brand Standards Auditor at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all store operations and guest experiences consistently meet Target’s rigorous brand guidelines and operational excellence standards. You will conduct thorough audits, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with store leadership to implement corrective actions. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding Target’s reputation for quality and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular, comprehensive audits of Target stores within the assigned region to assess adherence to brand standards, visual merchandising guidelines, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Document audit findings accurately and thoroughly, identifying both areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations for store management, highlighting non-compliance issues and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with store leadership to develop and monitor action plans for addressing audit findings and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to store teams on best practices for maintaining brand consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about current brand standards, company policies, and retail industry best practices to ensure audit relevance.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance, or a related field, preferably within a retail or hospitality environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for reporting and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet audit schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with visual merchandising standards and execution.
  • Knowledge of retail operational procedures and loss prevention practices.
  • Certification in auditing or quality management (e.g., ISO, ASQ).
