Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Salon Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and stock levels of our salon products, ensuring our stylists have everything they need to provide exceptional service. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and managing inventory, contributing to a smooth operation within our bustling beauty environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming salon product deliveries.
- Organize and shelve products in the salon's storage areas and on display, following company standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our internal tracking system.
- Prepare and process product returns and transfers.
- Monitor product expiry dates and assist with product rotation.
- Keep the stockroom clean, tidy, and organized.
- Communicate low stock levels or supply needs to salon management.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency (data entry, inventory software).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or inventory management, particularly in a salon or beauty environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
