Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate fully and successfully complete all aspects of the paid academy training program.
- Assist Customs and Border Protection Officers with the inspection of cargo, conveyances, and travelers entering the United States.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties, including data entry, record keeping, and report generation, to support operational activities.
- Support officers in conducting interviews and processing individuals and goods in accordance with federal regulations.
- Maintain organized records and documentation pertinent to inspections and enforcement actions.
- Operate various equipment and systems used in customs processing and security checks.
- Provide information and assistance to the public regarding CBP procedures and requirements.
- Adhere to all federal laws, regulations, and CBP policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, polygraph examination, and drug test.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete and pass all physical requirements of the academy training.
- Resilience and adaptability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or customer service.
- Proficiency in a foreign language (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
