Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Medical Doctors to join our team as General Practitioners. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified doctors, including those from international backgrounds, to contribute to a vibrant community healthcare setting in Walsall. You will provide comprehensive primary care services, manage a diverse patient caseload, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. We offer support for international candidates through their GMC registration and adaptation process, aiming to foster a smooth transition into the UK healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of primary medical services to patients registered with the practice.
- Conduct consultations, examinations, and diagnoses, developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with national guidelines and professional standards.
- Manage chronic diseases and provide preventative care.
- Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits, and continuous professional development.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, safeguarding, and health and safety policies.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, healthcare assistants, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records using electronic systems.
- Undertake home visits when clinically indicated.
Required Skills
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- MRCGP qualification or equivalent specialist qualification in General Practice.
- Experience working in a UK primary care setting.
- Experience with SystmOne or other NHS electronic patient record systems.
- Additional language skills relevant to our diverse community.
- Experience in specific areas such as minor surgery, women's health, or mental health.
