Job Description
The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tennis Court Sweeper & Line Painter to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our tennis courts are in pristine condition, ready for play, and adhere to professional standards. This includes regular sweeping, debris removal, and precise line painting to maintain court integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping and cleaning of all outdoor and indoor tennis courts to remove dirt, leaves, and other debris.
- Inspect courts regularly for wear, damage, and hazards, reporting any issues to the facilities manager.
- Prepare courts for line painting, including cleaning surfaces and masking off areas as required.
- Accurately paint and re-paint court lines according to official tennis regulations and club standards.
- Assist with minor court maintenance tasks, such as net adjustments or wind screen repairs.
- Ensure all equipment used for court maintenance is cleaned, stored properly, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to support overall facility upkeep.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including sweeping, bending, and lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly for line painting.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or facility maintenance.
- Familiarity with tennis court specifications and maintenance best practices.
- Experience with painting or precision marking.
