Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Virtual Travel Itinerary Planner to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for designing bespoke travel experiences for our diverse clientele. Leveraging your expertise in destinations, accommodations, and activities, you will create personalized itineraries that exceed client expectations, ensuring seamless and memorable journeys. This position requires a creative mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine love for travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and desired experiences.
- Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities tailored to client needs.
- Develop detailed, day-by-day travel itineraries, including hidden gems and local insights.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the planning process and during travel.
- Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, and industry regulations.
- Manage multiple client requests and bookings efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Utilize various booking systems and CRM software to track client interactions and reservations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and enjoyable client experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in travel planning or a related customer service role.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in travel booking software and GDS (Global Distribution Systems) is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of popular travel destinations and hidden gems.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a recognized travel industry organization (e.g., CTA, CTC).
- Experience with luxury travel planning or niche markets.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
