Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Boat Hull Scraper to join our team at the Evanston marina. This essential role involves the manual preparation and cleaning of boat hulls, ensuring they are free of marine growth and ready for painting, repair, or other maintenance. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and capable of performing demanding physical tasks in various weather conditions. This is an on-site position requiring hands-on work in a marina environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually scrape and clean boat hulls to remove barnacles, algae, and other marine growth.
  • Utilize various hand tools and small power tools (e.g., pressure washers, grinders) to prepare surfaces.
  • Assist with sanding and other surface preparation tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other manual labor duties as assigned to support marina operations.
