Job Description
As a Machine Learning Engineer at HP Inc. in Fort Collins, you will drive the development and deployment of advanced machine learning models across our product portfolio. This role involves designing algorithms, building robust MLOps pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions that enhance user experiences and operational efficiency. We are open to supporting qualified international candidates with relocation and visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for various business problems.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from diverse sources.
- Evaluate and optimize model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques.
- Deploy ML models into production environments and integrate them with existing systems.
- Build and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for continuous model training, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Document code, models, and methodologies clearly and comprehensively.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and strong programming fundamentals
- Solid understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and statistical modeling
- Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex data
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow)
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience in specific domains relevant to HP's business (e.g., computer vision, natural language processing, IoT, robotics, printing technology)
- Familiarity with software development best practices (version control, testing, code reviews)
