Job Description
Join BT Group plc as a remote WFH Google Admin Support specialist! This part-time role offers flexible hours, allowing you to manage and optimize our Google Workspace environment from the comfort of your home. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our Google-based collaboration tools, supporting our global teams and enhancing productivity. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of Google Workspace administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administration and support for Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, etc.)
- Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units, and access permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Google Workspace-related issues for end-users.
- Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity within the Google environment.
- Implement and enforce Google Workspace security policies and best practices.
- Assist with Google Workspace migrations, integrations, and new feature deployments.
- Create and maintain documentation for Google Workspace configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of Google Workspace with other systems.
Required Skills
- 1+ year of experience in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) administration.
- Strong understanding of Google Admin Console functionalities.
- Proficiency in managing Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, and other core Google apps.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on security and data privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Google Apps Script) for automation.
- Familiarity with identity management solutions (SSO, SAML) integration with Google Workspace.
- Previous experience in a remote or work-from-home support role.
- ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge of IT service management principles.
