Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Grocery Stocking Auditor with a primary focus on Night Replenishment to join our Augusta team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our overnight stocking operations. You will perform regular audits of inventory levels, shelf stocking, product rotation, and planogram compliance during the night shift. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining optimal product availability and store presentation, ensuring our customers always find what they need when they shop with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of night replenishment activities, including shelf stocking, backroom inventory, and product placement.
- Verify product counts against inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Monitor adherence to planograms and merchandising standards for all grocery departments.
- Document audit findings, including areas of non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with night crew leadership to address identified issues.
- Assist in the training of night stocking associates on best practices for inventory management and stocking procedures.
- Utilize handheld devices and inventory management systems to track and report data.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment during audit activities.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and meticulously on the night shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory scanning devices.
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions and store policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and bend for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work consistent overnight hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a retail grocery environment, particularly in stocking or inventory roles.
- Familiarity with planograms and merchandising principles.
- Experience with inventory management software or systems.
