Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Midtown Detroit. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions, performing cosmetic procedures, and fostering strong patient relationships within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancers.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
- Administer cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
- Educate patients on skincare, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state laws and practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Required Skills
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Michigan.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an NP, with at least 1 year in dermatology.
- Proficiency in performing dermatological examinations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with cosmetic dermatology procedures (e.g., injectables, lasers).
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Active DEA registration.
- Membership in professional dermatology organizations.
