Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and physically capable individuals to join our events team as a Wedding Venue Setup Assistant. This is a crucial, hands-on role primarily focused on weekend work, ensuring our wedding venues are impeccably prepared for each event. You will be responsible for setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, decorations, and other event equipment according to detailed floor plans. This position requires strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to lift and move heavy objects. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and arrange tables, chairs, linens, and place settings according to event layouts and diagrams.
  • Transport and place decorative items, floral arrangements, and signage.
  • Assist with the installation and breakdown of staging, lighting, and audio-visual equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable before guest arrival.
  • Work collaboratively with the events team, catering staff, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Efficiently and safely tear down event setups after events conclude, storing equipment properly.
  • Handle venue equipment and property with care, reporting any damages or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Excellent physical stamina and endurance for standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Positive attitude and a team player mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, hospitality, or a similar physical role.
  • Familiarity with various event equipment and setup procedures.
  • Basic understanding of event safety guidelines.
