Job Description

DRI is seeking a dedicated and organized Think Tank Clerk with a strong focus on filing and records management to join our administrative team in Reno, Nevada. This crucial role supports various research departments by ensuring the accurate, efficient, and secure handling of critical documents, research data, and administrative records. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a foundational understanding of data privacy and record-keeping best practices. You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our institutional knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, organize, and maintain physical and digital filing systems for research projects, grants, and administrative documents.
  • Implement and adhere to established record retention schedules and data security protocols.
  • Assist in the retrieval and dissemination of information to authorized personnel upon request.
  • Scan, digitize, and index paper documents into electronic databases.
  • Conduct regular audits of filing systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed, including data entry and office organization.
  • Collaborate with various departments to standardize record-keeping practices.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in records management, data entry, or administrative support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with document management systems (DMS) or electronic content management (ECM) software.
  • Knowledge of record retention policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Previous experience in an academic, research, or non-profit environment.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Office Administration, Library Science).
