Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Sorter with a strong focus on data entry to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who thrive in an organized environment and possess excellent attention to detail. As an Insurance Claims Sorter, you will be responsible for accurately processing, categorizing, and inputting various types of insurance claims data into our systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our claims department, contributing directly to our commitment to timely and accurate service for our policyholders. No prior experience in insurance is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming insurance claims documentation, both physical and digital.
- Accurately input claim data into the company's proprietary database and claims processing systems.
- Verify information for completeness and accuracy, identifying and flagging any discrepancies.
- Categorize claims based on type, policy number, and other relevant criteria.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all sensitive claimant information.
- Assist with scanning and archiving documents as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all daily processing targets are met.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to data integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Previous experience in data entry or administrative roles.
