Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Laundry Porter to join our busy hotel operations in Clifton, Bristol. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and management of linens throughout the hotel, supporting our laundry and housekeeping departments. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper sorting and handling of various linen types.
- Transport clean and soiled linens between the laundry facility, guest rooms, and other hotel departments using carts or trolleys.
- Monitor linen stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Fold, stack, and organise linens according to hotel standards.
- Perform routine checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment within the laundry area.
- Assist with inventory counts and management of linen supplies.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and other hotel teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling heavy loads (up to 25kg) throughout the shift.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial setting.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry, hotel, or industrial environment.
