Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Virtual Admissions Representative to join our dynamic enrollment team. In this 100% remote role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the application and enrollment process for our diverse range of online academic programs. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional support, answer questions, and help individuals understand how our university can meet their educational and career aspirations. This position requires a strong commitment to student success and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, providing information about academic programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment procedures.
- Conduct virtual interviews and counseling sessions to assess student needs and recommend appropriate programs.
- Guide students through the application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication with prospective students via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Collaborate with financial aid, academic advisors, and other departments to ensure a seamless enrollment experience for students.
- Track and manage a pipeline of prospective students using CRM software, documenting all interactions.
- Meet or exceed enrollment targets and performance metrics.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about program updates and best practices in virtual admissions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other virtual communication tools (e.g., video conferencing).
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working in higher education or with online learning programs.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals in a sales or recruitment role.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
