Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Vending Machine Snack Packer to join our dynamic team in Georgetown, Washington D.C. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing snack and beverage boxes for our vending machine drivers. Your work ensures that our routes are efficiently stocked with the right products, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational success. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack snacks, beverages, and other vending products according to detailed route sheets.
- Organize and prepare pre-kitted boxes for vending machine drivers, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming inventory from suppliers.
- Rotate stock to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inventory checks and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members and drivers to ensure smooth daily operations and on-time departures.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills to follow packing lists and instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work early mornings or occasional weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or inventory management role.
- Experience operating a pallet jack or similar warehouse equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
