Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented User Trust & Safety Analyst to join our team, specifically focusing on Pinterest policy enforcement. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring a safe and positive experience for all users on the Pinterest platform by reviewing content and user behavior against established guidelines. You will be responsible for making critical decisions, identifying emerging trends, and contributing to the overall integrity of the platform. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent judgment, and a commitment to upholding community standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze user-generated content and reported behavior for potential violations of Pinterest's Community Guidelines and policies.
- Apply policy frameworks consistently and accurately to make informed decisions on content moderation, account actions, and user safety.
- Identify and escalate complex or ambiguous policy issues, emerging trends, and potential threats to relevant internal teams.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and quality in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy, legal, and product, to provide insights and feedback on enforcement challenges.
- Participate in training and calibration sessions to stay updated on policy changes and best practices.
- Document decisions and actions clearly and concisely in accordance with operational procedures.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or a related field, preferably with a focus on social media platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of online safety issues, content policies, and user behavior analysis.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making ability under pressure and in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common office software and web-based tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Sociology, Political Science, Criminology).
- Experience with Pinterest's platform or similar visual discovery networks.
- Familiarity with various content types, including images, videos, and text.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
