Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Think Tank Aide to join our dynamic research team. This full-time position offers comprehensive health care and paid time off, reflecting our commitment to employee well-being. As a Think Tank Aide, you will provide essential support to researchers and senior analysts, contributing to the development and dissemination of influential policy-oriented research. Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting literature reviews and synthesizing research findings.
  • Assisting with data collection, entry, and basic analysis.
  • Drafting summaries, reports, presentations, and policy briefs.
  • Organizing and maintaining research files and databases.
  • Coordinating logistics for meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Supporting grant proposal development and administrative tasks.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Public Policy, STEM).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in policy-oriented research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a research assistant role or academic setting.

  • Knowledge of qualitative or quantitative research methodologies.
