Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Government Contracts Administrator. This is a unique opportunity for someone eager to start their career in government contracting within a secure and structured environment. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, learning the intricacies of federal contracts, compliance, and administration. This role is crucial in supporting our contract lifecycle, ensuring adherence to regulations, and contributing to the successful execution of vital projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior contract administrators with the preparation, review, and submission of contract proposals and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files, databases, and records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
- Support the monitoring of contract performance, including tracking deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
- Help in the interpretation of contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks and obligations.
- Facilitate communication between internal departments (e.g., legal, finance, project management) and external government stakeholders.
- Participate in contract close-out activities, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Learn and apply Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) principles.
- Assist with audits and data calls related to contract compliance and performance.
- Conduct research on government contracting policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and regulations.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or academic project experience in a legal, administrative, or government-related setting.
- Basic understanding of government contracting principles or legal frameworks.
- Experience with data entry and database management.
- Familiarity with contract management software.
