Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Textile Warehouse Hand to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the efficient handling, organization, and preparation of clothing and fabric items within our distribution center. This is an essential position that contributes directly to our ability to deliver quality apparel and textile products to our stores and guests. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming clothing and fabric shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Sort and organize textile products by category, size, color, and other relevant specifications.
- Pick and pack clothing and fabric items accurately according to outgoing shipment orders.
- Inspect textiles for quality, damage, or defects and report any discrepancies.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the textile storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting activities for clothing and fabric.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail for sorting, picking, and quality checking.
- Basic math and literacy skills to read labels, count items, and complete forms.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
- Experience with textile or apparel handling.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
