Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Aide to join our team, specifically for morning and afternoon shifts. This vital role involves providing direct patient care and support to individuals within their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The Senior Aide will assist with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and provide companionship, playing a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those in our care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Document care provided accurately and timely according to established procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a caregiver or senior aide (minimum 2 years)
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift and move clients safely with assistance when necessary
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CNA certification or equivalent healthcare credential
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with specific medical equipment (e.g., Hoyer lift, oxygen tanks)
