Job Description

Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to learn a new trade? FASTSIGNS in LaSalle, Quebec, is looking for a dedicated Sign Printing Shop Helper to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is motivated to learn the art of vinyl cutting and weeding. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training! You will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the precision and quality of our custom sign products. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vinyl cutting equipment after receiving training, ensuring accurate cuts according to design specifications.
  • Perform meticulous weeding of excess vinyl material from cut designs, preparing them for application.
  • Assist with the preparation of various sign materials, including cleaning, trimming, and mounting.
  • Help organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment within the production shop.
  • Support senior production staff with general tasks as needed, including material handling and inventory assistance.
  • Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and quality control standards.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy before final assembly or shipment.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
  • Basic comprehension of measurements and ability to use a tape measure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
