Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn individual to join our FastSigns of Beaumont team as a Sign Printing Shop Helper. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the sign-making industry. You will primarily assist with the production process, focusing on the crucial tasks of cutting and weeding vinyl graphics. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately cut vinyl using specialized equipment and tools.
- Carefully "weed" excess vinyl from cut graphics, ensuring precision and quality.
- Assist with preparing various materials for sign production.
- Support the production team in laminating, mounting, and finishing signs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management and material stocking.
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Basic manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and processes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles (not required, but a plus).
- Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, or shop environment.
- Familiarity with vinyl cutting equipment (e.g., plotters) is a bonus, but not required.
