Job Description
Join the Starbucks team as a Restaurant Associate and become an essential part of our vibrant coffeehouse environment. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and crafting perfect beverages. As a Restaurant Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our customers, from taking orders to preparing drinks and maintaining a clean store. A professional uniform will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverage items, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the counter area, dining space, restrooms, and back-of-house areas.
- Restock inventory, including coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other supplies, as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Learn and master new menu items and promotional offerings.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service, retail, or customer-facing role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and Starbucks products
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
