Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Remote Google Chat Moderator to join our 24/7 community focus team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, respectful, and engaging environment across various Google Chat platforms. This position requires active monitoring of chat discussions, strict enforcement of community guidelines, and proactive engagement to maintain a positive user experience around the clock. Your work will directly contribute to building a vibrant and healthy online community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor Google Chat platforms for adherence to community guidelines and terms of service 24/7.
  • Identify and address inappropriate content, spam, harassment, and other violations promptly and efficiently.
  • Respond to user inquiries and reports, providing guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with the community management team to escalate complex issues and provide insights into community trends.
  • Maintain detailed records of moderation activities and incident reports.
  • Provide constructive feedback to users regarding guideline violations.
  • Stay informed about platform updates, policy changes, and best practices in online community moderation.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • High level of empathy and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and general tech-savviness.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to cover 24/7 operations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in online community moderation or customer support roles.
  • Familiarity with various online communication platforms and their moderation tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide reports on community health and trends.
