Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote General Transcriber to join our global team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a General Transcriber, you will be responsible for converting audio and video files into accurate text format. Your work will support a variety of clients across different industries, contributing to the accessibility and clarity of critical information. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video content accurately and efficiently into text.
- Review and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual errors.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality transcripts according to project guidelines.
- Adhere to specific client style guides and formatting requirements.
- Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all transcribed materials.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively.
Required Skills
- Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to understand diverse accents and audio qualities.
- Superior written communication skills in English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency in typing with a minimum speed of 60 WPM.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with word processing software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in transcription, captioning, or related fields.
- Familiarity with various transcription software and tools (e.g., Express Scribe).
- Experience with legal, medical, or academic transcription.
- Strong research skills to verify proper nouns, technical terms, and unfamiliar content.
