Job Description
Join Smurfit Kappa as a Production Operative in our Plymouth facility. This ongoing, full-time role offers consistent Monday to Friday hours, providing a stable work-life balance. You will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, contributing to the efficient production of high-quality packaging materials. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a safe and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform quality checks on finished products.
- Load and unload materials and products from machines or production lines.
- Assist with machine setups and changeovers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any machinery malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (not essential as full training provided).
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Forklift license (desirable, but not required).
