Job Description

Join Smurfit Kappa as a Production Operative in our Plymouth facility. This ongoing, full-time role offers consistent Monday to Friday hours, providing a stable work-life balance. You will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, contributing to the efficient production of high-quality packaging materials. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products.
  • Load and unload materials and products from machines or production lines.
  • Assist with machine setups and changeovers as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report any machinery malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (not essential as full training provided).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Forklift license (desirable, but not required).
