Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Pharmacy Delivery Driver & Tech Aide. This dual role is essential for extending our pharmacy services directly to our patients’ homes while also supporting our in-store pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of prescriptions to customers, as well as providing crucial support to our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver prescription medications to patients' homes and specified locations within the local area.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, collect signatures, and handle payments as required during deliveries.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all delivered items, adhering to strict confidentiality and privacy standards.
- Assist the pharmacy team with inventory management, including stocking shelves, organizing medications, and processing returns.
- Support pharmacy technicians with prescription intake, data entry, and processing under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the delivery vehicle and within the pharmacy.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and in-store, addressing patient inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Operate company vehicle safely and perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance reporting.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role.
- Pharmacy Technician Trainee license or registration (where applicable).
- Familiarity with local geographical area (Pomona and surrounding regions).
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations or medical terminology.
