Job Description
Are you looking for an active summer job where you can work outdoors and be part of a team? We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our seasonal harvesting crew for peas and beans in West Yorkshire. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for students, gap year travellers, or anyone looking for temporary work during the summer months. You’ll be working in the fields, contributing directly to bringing fresh produce from farm to fork.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually picking peas and beans from plants in designated fields.
- Operating basic harvesting equipment safely after receiving training.
- Carefully sorting and packing harvested produce according to quality standards.
- Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily harvesting targets.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines on the farm.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Reporting any issues with produce quality or equipment to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain).
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, bend, and lift repeatedly for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an agricultural or outdoor labour role (not essential but a plus).
