Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and environmentally conscious Ecological Image Tagger to join our Green IT Projects team in Plymouth. In this role, you will be crucial in supporting environmental data initiatives by accurately tagging and categorizing ecological imagery. This involves working with various visual data sets, including satellite imagery, drone footage, and ground-level photographs, to identify and label features such as vegetation types, water bodies, wildlife habitats, and human impacts. Your work will directly contribute to advanced environmental monitoring, conservation efforts, and the development of sustainable IT solutions. This position requires strong attention to detail, a keen eye for visual patterns, and an interest in ecological concepts and green technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review, tag, and categorize large volumes of ecological images according to predefined guidelines and taxonomies.
- Identify and annotate specific environmental features, changes in landscape, and biodiversity indicators within imagery.
- Perform quality control checks on tagged data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and environmental specialists to refine tagging protocols and improve data quality.
- Provide feedback on image content and data challenges to improve tool development and project efficiency.
- Maintain high levels of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our Green IT projects and sustainable data solutions.
Required Skills
