Job Description
We are urgently seeking skilled and safety-conscious Counterbalance Forklift Operators to join our Amazon Logistics team in Watford. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering top rates for experienced individuals. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating counterbalance forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our busy warehouse environment. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols, and contributing to a productive team are key aspects of this role. Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move products and materials.
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
- Accurately record and manage inventory movements using warehouse management systems or manual logs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including manual handling, packing, and sorting, as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience working in a large-scale logistics or e-commerce facility.
- Additional MHE licenses (e.g., Reach Truck, VNA).
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
