Job Description

Are you a nurturing and responsible individual looking for flexible part-time work in childcare? Pueblo Premier Childcare Services is seeking dedicated Part-Time Sitters to fill morning and afternoon slots for families in the Pueblo, CO area. This role is perfect for college students, individuals seeking supplementary income, or those passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives. You will provide engaging and safe care for children of various ages in their homes, adhering to family routines and creating a fun, supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and engaging care for children during morning and/or afternoon hours.
  • Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
  • Prepare and serve snacks or simple meals as directed by parents.
  • Assist children with homework or educational activities, if required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children.
  • Follow established routines for naps, meals, and playtime.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding their child's day.
  • Respond to children's needs with patience, kindness, and understanding.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience in childcare (babysitting, nannying, daycare, etc.).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
  • Professional references from previous childcare roles.
  • Knowledge of child development stages.
  • Experience with various age groups (infants, toddlers, school-aged children).
