Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Community Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team in Pasco, WA. This full-time position offers stable hours and a supportive work environment where you can make a real difference in patients’ lives. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications.
  • Process prescription orders, accurately entering patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and supplies.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, both in person and over the phone.
  • Operate cash registers and process payments accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
  • Comply with all federal and state laws and company policies related to pharmacy practice.
  • Assist with immunization record keeping and scheduling as needed.
  • Support the pharmacy team in various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain one prior to start date
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or community setting
  • PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification
  • Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
