Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Community Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team in Pasco, WA. This full-time position offers stable hours and a supportive work environment where you can make a real difference in patients’ lives. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications.
- Process prescription orders, accurately entering patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications and supplies.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, both in person and over the phone.
- Operate cash registers and process payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation.
- Comply with all federal and state laws and company policies related to pharmacy practice.
- Assist with immunization record keeping and scheduling as needed.
- Support the pharmacy team in various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician License or ability to obtain one prior to start date
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or community setting
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification
- Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
