Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Order Picker Forklift Driver to join our thriving distribution center team. This combined skilled role requires proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (reach truck, stand-up, sit-down) as well as manual order picking techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, staging, and loading products while adhering to strict safety protocols and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various forklift types, including reach trucks, stand-up, and sit-down forklifts, to move, stack, and retrieve products.
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse inventory using RF scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Stage completed orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and containers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts (reach truck, stand-up, sit-down)
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, lifting)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking
- Excellent understanding and commitment to warehouse safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a large-scale distribution or logistics center
- Familiarity with inventory control practices
- Experience with other material handling equipment
