Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Online Proofreader to review and refine written content created by 15-year-old teens. In this remote, part-time role, you will play a crucial part in helping young writers develop their skills by ensuring clarity, grammatical correctness, and overall polish in their assignments, essays, and creative writing pieces. This position requires an exceptional eye for detail, a strong understanding of English grammar and punctuation, and the ability to provide constructive feedback in a supportive and encouraging manner suitable for teenage learners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and empowering young individuals through effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Review written assignments, essays, and creative pieces submitted by 15-year-old teens for grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuation, and syntax.
- Ensure clarity, coherence, and conciseness in the teen's writing while preserving their original voice and intent.
- Identify and correct formatting inconsistencies and structural issues.
- Provide constructive and encouraging feedback to help teens understand their mistakes and improve their writing skills.
- Adhere to project-specific style guides and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with program coordinators regarding feedback and progress.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly.
- Proficiency in common word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to provide constructive and sensitive feedback to young learners.
