Job Description
Are you passionate about helping others learn and practice a new language? Rosetta Stone is seeking enthusiastic and engaging Online Language Practice Partners to facilitate conversational sessions for our learners. This is a fully remote, work-from-home opportunity perfect for individuals who are native or near-native speakers of English and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. You will provide a supportive and immersive environment for learners to practice their English conversational skills, gain confidence, and achieve fluency. This role focuses purely on conversation and cultural exchange, not formal teaching or grammar instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage learners in lively, natural, and encouraging English conversations.
- Provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for language practice.
- Help learners build confidence in speaking English in various contexts.
- Offer gentle corrections and positive reinforcement as needed to aid understanding.
- Tailor conversations to the learner's interests and proficiency level.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor during all sessions.
- Adhere to scheduled session times and maintain consistent availability.
Required Skills
- Native or near-native fluency in English (US English preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping others learn.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Comfortable with video conferencing tools and online platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in language exchange, tutoring, or conversational practice.
