Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Night Guest Service Assistant to join our team in Bath. This crucial role ensures the smooth operation of the hotel during the night, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for managing all front desk operations, handling guest inquiries, assisting with late check-ins and early check-outs, and ensuring the security of the premises. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service. This position operates on a rotating shift pattern of 12 hours, 4 nights on and 4 nights off, providing a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the front desk operations during night hours, including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Conduct regular security walks and checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Prepare daily reports, process late charges, and balance daily accounts.
  • Monitor fire panels and other safety systems, responding to emergencies as per hotel procedures.
  • Assist with luggage handling and provide information about local attractions and services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Proficiency in basic computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel front desk or guest service role
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) such as OnQ, Opera, or similar
  • First Aid and/or Fire Marshal certification
  • Knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions in Bath
