Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and eager LVT Flooring Assistant to join our growing team in Quebec City. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about hands-on work and building a career in the flooring industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning all aspects of Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) installation, with a primary focus on crucial floor preparation and efficient laying techniques. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable trade skills and contribute to stunning renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior flooring technicians with the preparation of subfloors, including cleaning, leveling, and applying primers.
- Measure and cut LVT planks and tiles accurately according to project specifications.
- Support the laying and installation of LVT flooring, ensuring proper alignment and adhesion.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project duration.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines on job sites.
- Learn and apply best practices for LVT installation and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of measurements and using hand tools.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn a skilled trade.
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Quebec City and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, general labor, or renovation.
- Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Valid driver's license.
